First things first, I had no intentions of following this show until last night. Beginning at around 2:30AM, I decided I would watch the first two episodes on HULU just to see what all the fuss is about. Let me tell you, I thought Twitter and Facebook were just exaggerating the situations, lol.
If you recall, the show last season was crazy! This season, with an entirely new cast, the drama deserves a ratchetness medal. Before I go into detail, let me share with you the cast. K. Michelle is a recording artist that left Jive Records to pursue her career to something better. So far, I like her. Karlie is a rapper/ singer and what not (new to me). She has a mouth piece and may end up being someone even I wouldn't trust. She has a motive. Rasheeda, most may know is a ghetto fabulous independent rapper that pretty much makes "Bad Bitch" anthems. The only thing I can say about her right now, is that she needs to learn how to take her ish more seriously. Mimi is legendary producer, Stevie J's, baby mama. I like her BUT she's too "attatched". Joseline is an upcoming singer/rapper working under Stevie J... *sigh*, how do I describe her? HOE! Yep. I don't like her. Lastly, Erica, who happens to be the mother of rapper, Lil' Scrappy's daughter. She seems cool, for now.
In the first two premiered episodes, all hell broke loose QUICK! In episode one, you learn that Stevie J is basically a man that is known for not being home or with his child, who happens to only be two. "Business is business, I got to work" is his excuse for not being around. He literally thought that getting Mimi a house OUTSIDE Atlanta would be a nice gesture. WTF? I would be pissed too if I knew my man had the audacity to do that and say he was going to stay in Atlanta because of "work". This is where you know Joseline came into the picture. Stevie J is her manager but that female will do anything to get to the top. What struck me was how she and Stevie J interact while in the studio together. He may not be married to Mimi but they are together. Joseline dressing all sleezy and hoe-like just to record. Why was he slapping on J's ass, spending more time, and giving her smooches? She calling him daddy, baby, acting like he belongs to her and all. It took Karlie at K. Michelle's birthday party to add even more fuel to the fire. After meeting with Stevie J & Joseline about potentially working together, she sees Mimi at the party after years of not seeing each other at all. So naturally, of course she wouldn't know Stevie was with Mimi, right? All the eggs are lose when Karlie mentions that Joseline is Stevie J's girl then in walks Stevie J and Joseline, together! Lord knows I would have raised hell lol. One thing I can't stand is a thirsty female that acts as though she is not being sneaky with the man of another woman. GROUPIE! From there, drinks were thrown, Joseline gets mad at Stevie J for chasing after Mimi, why? Because sneaky ish is going on. Stevie J caught up and now he lying to Mimi and all. He leaves Mimi and goes the rest of the night with Joseline for "studio time". Hmm...
Episode two was even crazier. Mimi asks for 10% of everything Stevie J is doing. I felt it was like Mimi was asking for money to allow Stevie J to cheat or something. I guess the 10% is to just make her feel like she has some power over Joseline. However, this show got too good! Forget everybody else, the love triangle between J, Stevie, and Mimi has my full attention. Mimi knows she deserves a man who will honor her and want to be with her and so does her closest friend, but she stuck on the man that she is well aware of is cheating on her and probably has been for years. This makes our black women seem so weak. 15 years with the same man, no ring, a child, and he doesn't want to be with you. Fast forward, Joseline now has an issue with Karlie all because she wants to work with Stevie and has mentioned that she will basically work with him, when she (Joseline) says so. According to Joseline, she's his number one priority. Joseline later finds out that Mimi is now partners with Stevie and has say so in what goes on. Of course, she's not down for that. Now I was NOT surprised when Joseline revealed to Stevie J that she's pregnant. He trying to play dumb and ask her who she been sleeping with but when she said nobody in the last few months except him, I was like, "OMG I KNEW THAT HOE WAS SLEEPING WITH THAT HOE!" lol. Too many diseases going around and apparently Stevie feels his **** is far too great to not share with every female wanting their piece. Now Joseline's stuck and it's only a matter of time until he begins to treat her like crap too. Smh. I don't know what is about to go down but from the previews of Episode 3, in the words of Kevin Hart, it's about to go down! Things just got REAL! Best believe, I will tune in throughout the duration of the show this season.
